If you read Daniel Pipes unreasonable hit piece on Donald Trump in the Philadelphia Inquirer you’d think it was authored by Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood, Khomeinist, or far left propagandist, not by a conservative scholar. In fact, the way he hurdles his false accusations at Trump is the exact way fascists throw a barrage of accusations at their foes.
Pipes is the last person to speak of neo-fascism, in view of how he distrusts the people of the Middle East and prefers to stick with dictators. Pipes’ incredibly cold blooded pieces on Syria – where he recommended that people kill each other at will, is beyond fascism, it is inhumane fascism with the ultimate outcome being the mass death of all civilians until both camps perish, has never been heard of from any expert in the US.
Pipes is okay with dictators suppressing their people in the Middle East, it is ok that civilians suffer, as long as the bad guys are slaughtering each other. Neo Fascism is not when a Presidential candidate uses unusual narrative because he was a businessmen for decades, but it is when a professional speaker and writer shows endless inhumane attitudes regarding civil society and extreme arrogance towards Americans with whom he disagrees.
Pipes’ self neo fascism is embodied with the rejection of his failed theses for the past many years by most people in the Middle East and by the Israelis themselves. When Pipes uses the unfounded narratives of the Baathists, Khomeinists, Muslim Brotherhood and the Marxists against a patriotic American leader, calling him a “neo fascist,” he uncovers his own intellectual fascism.
Pipes’ last piece of credibility has crumbled.
